n. Use only clean water softening salt with at least 99.5% purity. Extra course grade or crystal salt is
recommended. Do not use rock, block or granulated salts. These contain contaminants that could
cause problems during maintenance.
o. Always keep the salt lid in place on the softener unless servicing or refilling the unit.
p. Some applications may not have a level surface to place the tank. The floating base allowsthe tank
to be leveled within the base and ensure proper operation.
