What You Need to Get Started
To use iPod mini with a Macintosh, you must have the following:
• A Macintosh with built-in FireWire
• Mac OS X v10.1.5 or later
Some features require Mac OS X v10.2.8 or later (Mac OS X v10.2.8 is recommended).
• iTunes 4.2 (included on the iPod mini CD) or later
To be sure you have the latest version of iTunes, go to www.apple.com/itunes.
• iSync 1.1 and iCal 1.0.1 or later
iSync and iCal are optional for synchronizing contact and calendar information with
iPod mini. You must have Mac OS X v10.2 or later to use iSync and iCal.
