Automatically ll free space with songs: Select this option to ll up the free space
with songs that iTunes chooses. You see this option only if “Selected playlists, artists,
albums, and genres” is selected.
Podcasts and iTunes U Panes
Use these panes to choose the podcasts and iTunes U collections you want to sync.
Select settings from the following options, then click Sync when you nish:
Sync Podcasts (or Sync iTunes U): Select these options to sync podcasts and
iTunes U collections.
Automatically include: Select this option to sync podcasts and iTunes U collections
automatically each time you connect iPod nano. Choose options from the pop-up
menus to specify which episodes or collections to sync.
Books Pane
You can purchase and download audiobooks from the iTunes Store or audible.com, or
import audiobooks from CDs and listen to them on iPod nano.
Select settings from the following options, then click Apply when you nish:
Sync Audiobooks: Select this option to sync audiobooks.
All audiobooks: Select this option to sync all of the audiobooks in your iTunes library.
Selected audiobooks: Select this option to choose which audiobooks to sync.
When this option is selected, you can choose chapters or parts of audiobooks, and
include audiobooks in Smart Playlists such as Recently Added.
Photos Pane
Use iTunes to sync photos to iPod nano.
Set the following options, then click Apply when you nish:
Sync Photos from: Select this option to sync photos from your computer. Then
choose a source from the pop-up menu.
If you choose iPhoto as the source, select an option to either sync everything in your
iPhoto library, or only selected albums, events, and faces.
If you choose a folder as the source, choose a folder from the navigation window
that appears. The options below change, depending on whether the folder contains
other folders. You can sync all of the folders, or select the ones you want to sync.
Include full-resolution photos: Select this option to add full-resolution image les,
which you can access after enabling disk use. See “Using iPod nano as an External
Disk on page 57.
