3.2 Explanation of the 6-way valve
The individual functions/settings:
Position Function
Filter (operating
state)
 The pool water to be filtered is pumped
through the filter and quartz sand.
Backwash  Position for cleaning the filter system.
 Pool water is pumped through the filter in
the reverse direction.
 Sludge water is directed into the waste
duct.
Rinse  Filtering into the waste duct.
 Residual dirt in pipes oft he system after
backwashing is removed.
Recirculate  Circulate without filtering.
 Water flows directly into the pool, instead
of through the filter beforehand.
 Advantagous after addition of water
treatment products, e. g. shock
chlorination.
Waste
 Pool water is pumped directly into the
waste duct.
Closed  During mounting and maintenance work.
 All functions are stopped.
 Pump may not be switched on.
Winter  Discharge oft he sealing elements.
