Do you have a question about the Aspire Nautilus and is the answer not in the manual?
Essential steps after filling, including priming, eGo battery connection, and addressing dry hits.
The Aspire Nautilus is a next-generation tank system designed for personal vaporizers, featuring a robust construction of stainless steel and Pyrex glass. It incorporates Aspire's "BDC" (Bottom Dual Coil) atomizer technology, which is central to its performance.
The Nautilus serves as a sophisticated e-liquid tank for vaping devices. Its primary function is to hold e-liquid and facilitate its vaporization through the integrated atomizer. The device is engineered to deliver a customizable vaping experience, allowing users to adjust various aspects of vapor production and draw.
The Nautilus boasts an exclusive and revolutionary adjustable airflow design. This feature allows users to customize their vaping experience by simply turning a lower ring, which provides four distinct options for airflow adjustment. These options cater to different user preferences, enabling the production of large vapor clouds, a pure and clean taste, and control over the hardness or softness of the draw, as well as the warmth or coldness of the vapor. The different size air-ports (Ø0.9mm, Ø1.1mm, Ø1.4mm, Ø1.8mm) are key to achieving this versatility, allowing users to select the most comfortable airflow setting.
Assembling the Nautilus involves a few straightforward steps. First, the upper hardware is screwed onto the Pyrex tank, with a caution not to overtighten. Next, the BDC Atomizer is screwed into the bottom hardware, ensuring it is snugged down hand-tight. Following this, the tank hardware is snugly screwed to the bottom atomizer hardware, with the atomizer screwing onto the air-tube shaft in the center. Finally, the drip-tip is inserted into the upper hardware.
Refilling the Nautilus with e-liquid is also designed to be user-friendly. Before refilling, it's important to ensure the upper stainless steel component is screwed tightly onto the glass tank. The bottom hardware is then screwed off the upper hardware. A crucial note here is that when the bottom hardware is unscrewed, the atomizer should ideally come off the upper hardware simultaneously. If the atomizer remains attached to the air-tube shaft in the center, it should be screwed off and then re-screwed onto the bottom hardware to prevent disconnection issues. Once disassembled, liquid is filled into the space between the glass tank and the central metal tube. Users are advised not to overfill or allow liquid to enter the center shaft. After filling, the bottom hardware is screwed back onto the upper hardware.
For optimal performance, users are instructed not to fill liquid into the central hole. After filling, it's recommended to let the Nautilus stand for 2 minutes to allow the e-liquid to be fully absorbed into the wick/atomizer chamber. This step is crucial to prevent a burning taste, which indicates that the liquid has not adequately saturated the wick. If a burning taste is experienced during the first few puffs, it means more time is needed for absorption.
For users with eGo batteries, the supplied cone should be screwed onto the threads before installing the Nautilus onto the battery.
Maintaining the Nautilus involves simple cleaning procedures. When necessary, all components, with the exception of the BDC Atomizer, can be cleaned by washing them with clean water and then air-drying them.
Several important notices are provided to ensure the longevity and safe use of the device. The glass tank is delicate and should not be impacted, dropped, or mishandled, as this could lead to breakage and potential injury. During disassembly, it is recommended to remove the bottom hardware first before unscrewing the glass tank. To prevent a dry wick, which can lead to a burnt taste and damage to the atomizer, users should not overfill the Nautilus beyond 5ml and should refill the tank when the liquid level drops below 0.5ml. If the bottom hardware becomes difficult to unscrew, a helpful tip is to screw the upper hardware tightly with the glass tank, which should then make the bottom hardware easier to remove.
