9.1.2 ALLOCATING AN IFOB
Other than replacing an existing iFob, this section may be also used as a guide for replacing a removed iFob as a result
of being damaged, unreadable, or the iFob has been lost.
1. To allocate a new iFob, log into the system as an Admin user and select I Know What I Want.
2. Once the door opens, insert the new iFob into the available position.
A message will appear on the screen informing you that the iFob has not been recognised.
3. Next, close the door to exit from the screen.
4. Log into the Traka Touch system as an Admin user and navigate to the Item Administration screen.
From the example below, it can be seen that the item is in the system but not recognised.
5. Complete the setup process as explained in the previous section.
The system will detect that a new Item has been added.
6. Select Yes or if you are replacing multiple items, select Yes to all.
The new item record will be added to the system.
7. Once completed, select Exit.
To reallocate a previously removed iFob, follow the steps in the previous section to deallocate the iFob and then
reallocate with the original.
