Never attempt to service or adjust this
machine until all motion has stopped and
power has been disconnected and locked
out/tagged out.
Preoperation Checklist
The preoperational check should be performed
any time the equipment is moved to a new site, or
if it has been in storage for an extended period.
Check each component to insure that it is in
operational condition. This check should include,
but not be limited to the following items.
Initial Operation
The conveyor should initially be run empty to
insure everything is operating smoothly and
conveyor belt is tracking properly.
After the conveyor has operated for a few
minutes, disconnect and lockout power.
With conveyor stopped, power disconnected
and locked out, inspect for loose bolts and
screws, belt operation and make any necessary
adjustments.
When this fi nal inspection and adjustment has
been completed, the conveyor should be ready
for service.
Before starting conveyor, be sure all tools
and foreign objects have been removed
and everyone is clear.

a. Fill, level and drain plugs in place.
b. Fluid level checked.
5. V-belts tensioned properly

a. Operator’s manual on unit.
b. Safety decals in place and
readable.
c. Safety guards on.
GENERAL CHECKS
1. Belts trained
2. Pulley hubs tightened properly
3. Belt cleaner
4. Check accessible bolts for
tightness
CAUTION
Keep away from all exposed moving ma-
chinery and all pinch points. Getting
caught can injure and kill.
