High temp EP-2 lithium based grease
containing a tackiness agent.

Grease purging
between housing
and outer race
New grease must purge
from bearing seal
Pulley Bearing
Use the following procedure
for lubricating the head and tail
pulley bearings.
1. Wipe dirt from grease zerk
and bearing.
2. Slowly lubricate with a
manual grease gun. Grease
should be added until
grease purges from bearing
seal.
It will typically take in the range
of fi ve to ten pumps before
grease purges. Use NLGI2
lithium based grease.
Use battery or air powered
grease guns with caution.
Delivery rate with this type of
gun is typically too fast causing
grease to purge from outer
race, not the seal. If this type
Purging grease from seal will
NOT damage the grease seal.
NOTICE
of grease gun is used, the
bearing will need to be greased
until new grease is purged from
bearing seal.
3. Repeat procedure for
opposite side.
