Unplug your cable/DSL modem and remove the battery if it has one.
Use the network cable to connect your modem to the router.
Turn on your cable/DSL modem to establish a connection.
Check the modem's LED lights to ensure the connection is active.
Plug the power adapter into the router and then into a wall socket.
Verify WAN and 2.4G LED lights indicate a ready hardware connection.
Connect your PC to the router via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable.
Open a web browser and navigate to http://router.asus.com.
Use 'admin' for both username and password to log in.
Change default passwords for security and reboot the router.
