Specific
tests
can
be
run
by
entering
the
option
number,
followed
by
the
ENTER
key,
or
all
tests
may
be
run
by
entering
the
value
"10",
followed
by
the
ENTER
key.
Note:
Tests
3
and
4
must
be
run
with
the
contrast
control
set
to
approximately
midrange.
This
is
necessary
to
distinguish
between
lines
that
are
blinking
from
low
light
to
high
light.
A
detailed
description
with
specific
screens
can
be
found
in
the
"MAINTENANCE"
Section
of
Chapter
5.
The
following
is
a
brief
description
of
the
test
performed
by
each
of
the
MENU
options.
1
-
MEMORY
TEST:
No
error
should
occur
during
this
test.
If
any
error
does
occur,
reject
the
DEB.
Note:
The
"Diagnostic
Utility"
will
write
data
on
the
default
drive.
MFD
default
drives
must
have
a
formatted
(write
unprotected)
diskette
installed.
2
-
TRANSPARENT
MODE:
This
test
displays
a
framed
full
screen
with
three
lines.
If
any
additional
random
character
and/or
blocks
are
displayed,
reject
the
board.
3
-
TEXT
WITH
400
LINE
GRAPHICS:
This
test
produces
a
screen
with
8
lines,
each
exercising
a
different
video
feature.
(The
monitor
contrast
control
must
be
set
to
midrange.)
Each
line
describes
its
appearance.
If
the
description
and
the
actual
appearance
do
not
agree,
reject
the
board.
