For

This

most
effective

the
Commands

Once
you
are
familiar

available,
you'll
find
that
you
can
enter
commands
more
rapidly
if
you
turn
the
Commands
menu
off
and
type
them.
This
method
of
command
entry
is
also
useful
when
you
are
working
with
the
UNIX
PC
using
a
remote
terminal.
(See
"Changing
User
Preferences"
in
this
section
for
information
on
turning
off
the
Commands
menu.
)
To

a
command:

Press
<Cmd>.
The
Commands
menu
appears
as
usual
if
it
has
not
been
turned
off.
2
Type
the
command
name.
You
need
type
only
the
first
few
characters
of
the
command
name.
3
Press
the
space
bar
once.
4
Type
the
entire
name
of
the
object
to
be
affected
by
the
command.
5
Press
<Return>
or
<Enter>.
The
command
line
displays
the
characters
as
you
type
a
command.
You
can
use
the
Cancl,
Back
Space,
and
Clear
Line
keys
to
change
the
characters
on
the
command
line.
