AT&T UNIX - Formatting MS-DOS Floppy Disks

Using Floppy Disks
Even though you have successfully repaired the floppy
disk's damaged file system, you still may have lost
some of the data that was stored on the floppy disk.
Before putting the floppy disk away, you should
display its contents and check your files.
Formattjng MS-DOS Floppy Disks
You can format floppy disks to be used with an MS-DOS
system. You may want to use this selection before
using the MS-DOS Disk Write selection.
To for.mat an MS-DOS disk:
1 Point to I Floppydiskl in the Office window.
2 Press <Enter> or <Bl>.
The Floppydisk menu is displayed.
3 Point to IMSDOS Disk Format I .
