Important information for safe use
These instructions concern installation, op-
eration, handling and maintenance of
product, inserted/mounted tool and equip-
ment.
• It is vital that the operator has read and
fully understood the instructions before
using this product
• Keep instructions safe for future refer-
ence and make sure that the operator has
complete access to them
• Failure to follow these instructions may
cause serious hazards
Our goal is to produce tools that help you work safely
and efciently.
The most important safety device for this and
for any tool is YOU.
Your care and good judgement are the best protec-
tion against injury.
This power tool must not be modied for product
liability and safety reasons. Only qualied and
trained operators should install, adjust or use this
tool.
All possible hazards cannot be covered here, but
we highlight some of the most important. For addi-
tional safety information consult:
• Other documents and information packed with

• Your employer, union and/or trade association

Safety signal words
The safety signal words Danger, Warning, Caution,
and Notice have the following meanings:
DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which,
if not avoided, will result in death or serious in-
jury.
DANGER
WARNING indicates a hazardous situation
which, if not avoided, could result in death or
serious injury.
WARNING
CAUTION, used with the safety alert symbol,
indicates a hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury.
CAUTION
NOTICE is used to address practices not related
to personal injury.

Personal precautions and qualifications
Installation, storage, maintenance and dis-
posal
Installation, storage, maintenance and disposal of
the product may only be undertaken by persons who:
• are physically able to handle the bulk, weight and
power of the tool
• are aware of all the relevant national safety instruc-
tions and accident prevention instructions
• have read and understood the operating instruc-
tions
Operation
Operation of the product may only be undertaken by
qualied operators. Operators are qualied if they:
• are physically able to handle the bulk, weight and
power of the tool
• are trained to operate the product in conformity
with national directives
• are aware of all the relevant national safety instruc-
tions and accident prevention instructions
• have read and understood operating instructions

The personal protective equipment must conform to
the applicable health and safety regulations.

• Safety goggles with side protection
• Protective gloves
• Safety footwear
Drugs, alcohol and medication
Drugs, alcohol and medication may impair your
judgement and powers of concentration.
