System indicated for individuals with trismus or jaw pain. Can be used for post-operative therapy.
Not for individuals with jaw fractures, infections, osteomyelitis, or osteoradionecrosis.
System comprises Jaw Mobilizer, Bite Pads, Hand-Aid, Range of Motion Scales, Carrying Bag, instructions, and log.
Effective for trismus reduction, prevention, improving jaw function, and post-surgery recovery.
Stop if pain occurs. Exercise with caution if teeth, gums, or jaw bones are weak.
Do not sterilize. Handle with care. Avoid excessive force on mouthpieces to prevent breakage.
Set maximum opening using Range Setting Arm or Fine Adjustment Knob. Prepare device before use.
Check device integrity. Attach Bite Pads to dry mouthpieces. Securely adhere pads for best results.
Clinician selects exercises. Common programs are 5-5-30 and 7-7-7. Focus on stretching and strengthening.
Use ROM Scale for sizing. Log daily and monthly progress. Record date, time, exercise type, and opening size.
Clean Jaw Mobilizer and Hand-Aid with soap and water. Dry mouthpieces thoroughly before reuse.
Follow medical practice and national requirements for biohazard disposal of used medical devices.
Caused by dirt or improper cleaning. File surface lightly, rinse, dry, and apply new Bite Pads.
Caused by moisture or improper placement. Ensure mouthpieces are dry and free of build-up. Apply new pads securely.
