The replacement compressor contains the full quantity of oil
intended for the refrigerant circuit. On A/C compressor re‐
placement, the quantity of oil in the A/C compressor is there‐
fore to be adjusted. Refer to

The Audi A6 are equipped with different A/C compressors de‐
pending on engine and production period.

As of model year 2002, the Audi A6 features compressors with
A/C clutch or regulator valve (different oil quantities) depend‐
ing on the engine. For the Audi allroad with 6 cylinder. diesel
engine, this gradual change is introduced in model year 2003.
