3.2 Installing add-on components
– Secure roof rack modules in accordance with the relevant in-
stallation instructions for the roof rack module in question.
– To install the roof rack modules, remove the profile cap -6-
from the profile tube -3- -in the direction of arrow
A-.
– Insert the roof rack modules in the T groove in the
-direction indicated by arrow B-.
– Slide the profile cap -6- back on -in the direction of arrow C-.
When the add-on components are not in use, secure the T
groove with the profile cover -1-.
–
Adjust the profile cover -1- to the length of the roof bars with
the profile caps -6- closed.
– Place the profile cover -1- on the T groove in the profile tube
-3- and press the cover into the T groove
-in the direction of the arrow-.
3.3 Removing the carrier units from the ve-
hicle
Note
Remove the load and the roof rack modules.
Removing the front carrier unit:
– Open the lock -11- using the key -12- and open the cover
flap -10-.
–
Unscrew the left and right tensioning bolts -21- alternately
using the torque wrench -14- until obvious resistance is felt.
– Slide the claw fasteners -15- incl. support bracket back as
far as they will go against the direction of travel.
