Display in the speedometer
The display in the speedometer is not available in
all layouts*.

Depending on the equipment, the vehicle may
have a driver assistance display with or without
area view.
The driver assistance display without area view
© fig. 103 (top) provides information about the
system status. The display only appears if it was
opened in the trip computer page 19.
The driver assistance display with area view
© fig. 103 (bottom) will also show other vehicles
that are detected, within the limits of the sys-
tem. The display of the objects will be simplified
and might differ from the actual objects. The
area view will only appear if the ‘) tab has been
selected in the instrument cluster.

Indicator lights
EB- The speed/distance control is active. No
vehicles were detected ahead. The stored speed
is maintained.
EB- The speed/distance control is active. A vehi-
cle was detected ahead. The system controls the
speed and distance from the vehicle driving
ahead, and accelerates and brakes automatically.
Applies to: vehictes with traffic jam assist
EB- Traffic jam assist with improved lane guid-
ance is active page 148.
EB- The speed/distance control is active but the
vehicle is not ready to drive. A vehicle was detect-
ed ahead. Your vehicle is stationary and will not
start driving automatically > page 753.
EB- The speed/distance control is active but the
vehicle is not ready to drive. No vehicles were de-
tected ahead. Your vehicle is stationary and will
not start driving automatically.
EB the vehicle has been stationary for too long
and is not ready to drive. The indicator light and a
message indicate that the ready to drive status
can be activated again ® page 153, Starting to
drive with adaptive cruise assist.
EHI- Take over. The braking power is not suffi-
cient © page 148, Brake intervention request or
the safe start monitor is providing a warning
page 153.
[Bl- Lane guidance is active.
I - Take over steering. The system limits have
been reached page 149, Steering intervention
requests.
[Bl- Lane guidance is switched on but it is not ac-
tive 2 page 148, Lane guidance limitations.
HBV BB- Take over steering. No steering detect-
ed or a system limit has been reached
