With Audi connect Infotainment services, online
information is transmitted directly to the vehicle.
An Internet connection is required to use Audi
connect Infotainment. Depending on the country
and vehicle equipment, the Internet connection
can be established via an embedded SIM card
(eSIM) or via your own SIM card in a cell phone
using Wi-Fi.

Embedded SIM card
Applies to: vehicles with Audi connect Infotainment and an
embedded SIM card
The data connection for Audi connect Infotain-
ment services is made through an embedded SIM
card (@SIM card) that is installed in the vehicle.
You can use the Audi connect Infotainment serv-
ices immediately.

Depending on the country and the vehicle equip-
ment, the MMI can connect to your own SIM card
ina cell phone via a Wi-Fi connection and use it

Connecting to Wi-Fi
Applies to: vehicles with Wi-Fi
The vehicle can use Wi-Fi to connect to a Wi
hotspot.
Requirement: the ignition must be switched on.
> If necessary, switch on the “Wi-Fi hotspot
(tethering)” function or the “personal hotspot”
‘on your mobile device.
» Applies to: MMI: Select on the home screen:
SETTINGS > Connection settings > Wi-Fi
» Switch on the Wi-Fi function.
» Press on the desired Wi-Fi hotspot from the list
of available networks.
» Follow the system instructions.
The MMI has successfully connected to a Wi-Fi
hotspot via Wi-Fi.
