If the parking brake is
applied with ignition switched off, the lamp lights up for approx. 30 seconds.
The lamp should go out when the parking brake is released.
If the warning lamp flashes continuously after applying the parking brake, the brake force is not sufficient
to prevent the vehicle from accidental movement. Note the following:
If the gradient of the hill is too steep for parking, a warning is displayed. Warning: Vehicle parked too
steep.
In case of malfunction of the parking brake the yellow symbol in the instrument cluster display lights up
additionally and the warning: Parking brake! is displayed.
