• Gearbox removed
• Secure gearbox to assembly stand ⇒ page 18 .
• The gearbox must be horizontal with the ATF oil pan facing
downwards.
– Place used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782- be‐
low gearbox.
– Remove ATF drain plug -arrow A- and allow ATF to drain off.

Some ATF always remains in the oil pan.

-Arrow B- can be disregarded.
– Remove drain plug -C- and allow gear oil to drain out of trans‐
fer box.
