1.1 Draining torque converter
Drain the torque converter as follows if the ATF is very dirty due
to component wear, or when performing a major gearbox over‐
haul:
– Extract ATF from torque converter with used oil collection and
extraction unit -V.A.G 1782- .
1.2 Checking torque converter
– Check hub -arrow- of torque converter for scoring.
If scoring is visible on the torque converter hub:
– Renew torque converter.
