Make sure the wiper arms are not raised up from
the windshield. Otherwise the pa int could be
damaged .
Opening the hood

Checking and Filling

.. Press the rocker switch under the hood upward

Closing the hood
.. Push the hood down until you over ride the
force of t he str ut .

A WARNING
-
- Never open the hood when there is steam or
coolant escaping from the engine compart-
ment, because there is a risk that you could
be burned. Wait unt il no steam or coolan t is
escaping.
- If the hood is not latched completely, it
could fly up while you are dr iving and ob-
st ruct your visio n.
- For safety reasons, the hood must always be
closed secu rely while dr iving. Because of
this, always che ck t he hood afte r closing it
t o make sure it is latched correct ly. The
hood is latched if the front corners cannot
be lifted.
- If you notice th at the hood is not latched
while you are driving, stop immediately and
close it, because d riving when the hoo d is
not latched increases the risk of an accident .
