High-voltage
system
battery
(also
called
a
hybrid
battery/traction
bat-
tery)
and
supports
the
combustion
engine
in
cer-
tain
situations.
The
usage
considerably
influences
the
service
life
of
the
high-voltage
battery.
Read
and
observe
the
following
information
on
correct
handling:
>
Balance
out
the
amount
of
time
that
the
elec-
tric
and
conventional
drive
systems
are
used.
If
only
the
electric
drive
system
is
used
for
long
periods
of
driving,
then
the
high-voltage
bat-
tery
will
wear
more
quickly.
»
Avoid
quickly
discharging
the
high-voltage
bat-
tery
by
repeatedly
accelerating
abruptly
when
driving
in
full-electric
mode
or
during
boosting.
»
You
must
not
use
your
vehicle
to
jump
start
an-
other
vehicle.
This
could
cause
significant
dam-
age
to
the electrical
system
in
your
vehicle.
Messages
The
following
messages
may
appear
depending
on
the
vehicle
equipment:
BBdigh-voltage
battery:
risk
of
fire!
Safely
park
and
exit
vehicle
now.
Contact
emergency
res-
ponders!
If
this
message
appears,
proceed
as
follows:
Stop
the
vehicle
immediately
while
taking
the
traffic
situation
into
account.
~Select
a
safe
place
outdoors
that
is
not
near
buildings
or
vehicles,
roof
overhangs,
carports,
or
similar
structures.
~
Switch
on
the
emergency
flashers
if
possible.
~
Set
the
parking
brake.
~
Switch
the
ignition
off.
In
order
to
support
emergency
services,
make
sure
to
leave
the
key
visible
in
the
vehicle,
for
example
in
the
center
console.
Exit
the
vehicle
and
make
sure
there
are
no
more
people
or
animals
inside
the
vehicle.
~Make
sure
that
you
and
all
other
passengers
move
away
from
the
dangerous
area
to
a
safer
place,
for
example
behind
a
guard
rail.
~
Contact
emergency
services.
Do
not
attempt
to
extinguish
the
fire
yourself.
The
permanent
warning
tone
inside
the
vehicle
can
only
be
switched
off
by an
authorized
Audi
dealer
or
authorized
Audi
Service
Facility.
If
there
is
a
danger
of
imminent
fire
in
the
high-voltage
battery
cells,
toxic
gases
can
es-
cape
or
the
high-voltage
battery
components
may
carry
current.
There
is
a
risk of
serious
in-
juries,
burns,
or
fatal
electrocution.
Exit
the
vehicle
and
evacuate
all
other
per-
sons
and
animals.

sure
you and
all
other
passengers
leave
the
dangerous
area.

(AC)

charge
the
high-voltage
battery
at
industrial
sockets,

stations,
