1 Removing and installing parts of cooling system

– Remove bolts -1- and -2-.
– Pull coolant pipe (right-side) towards front and out of cyl-
inder block and remove.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the follow-
ing:
♦ Renew O-rings.
♦ Hose connections and hoses for charge air system must be
free of oil and grease before assembly.
♦ Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose
clips (same as original equipment) ⇒ Parts catalogue.
– Before installing, clean and smoothen sealing surface for
O-ring.
– Lubricate new O-ring with “G12+” and slide onto coolant
pipe.
– Install toothed belt for high-pressure pump ⇒ page 48.
– Remove alternator ⇒ Rep. Gr. 27.
– Install poly V-belt ⇒ page 39.
– Observe notes on procedures required after connecting
battery ⇒ Rep. Gr. 27.
– Fill cooling system ⇒ page 162.
