WARNING
Headlamp and level control setting!
Adapting control position and checking headlamp basic setting is
necessary if
♦ the front upper control arm was removed and installed or re‐
placed,
♦ Installation work has been performed on the level control sys‐
tem sensor,
♦ the level control system sensor has been replaced,
♦ the connecting link connection from the Level Control System
Sensor to front upper control arm was disconnected.
Adapt the control position, refer to
⇒ “3.10 Control Position, Programming”, page 221 .
Headlamp basic setting, refer to ⇒ Rep. Gr. 94 .
Removing
– With vehicles with air suspension, place vehicle on hoist, refer
to ⇒ “4 Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels”, page 10 .
– Disconnect the harness connector -3-.
– Remove nut -2-.
– Remove screws -1- with angled wrench. Do not bend upper
retaining plate when doing so.
– Remove level control system sensor.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Sensor lever must point outward.
Tightening specifications, refer to

– With vehicles with air suspension, place vehicle on wheels,
refer to
⇒ “4 Positioning Vehicle on Hoist and Wheels”, page 10 .
– On vehicles with air suspension, readapt control position, refer
to ⇒ “3.10 Control Position, Programming”, page 221 .
– Perform headlamp basic setting, refer to ⇒ Rep. Gr. 94 .
