plate is not in ser t ed in the belt buc k le, m a gnets I

nd II act on the r eed switch . T h e mag netic f o rces of
the tw o ma gnets c a ncel ea c h other out. T h e r eed
switch is open.
T h e magnet I is lo c a ted at the tip of the moveable
spring th orn. T h e ma gnet II is perman ently attac h ed
t o the housing, a s is the r eed switch . When the la tc h
plate is ins e r t ed in the b e lt buc k le,
the spring tho r n mo ves with the magnet I .
T h e ma gnet II a l one acts on the r eed switch .
T h e r e ed switch is closed.
