A conven tional hydr aulic steering system with a van e pump, r o ta ry slide va lve a nd a r a c k -a nd- p inio n steering
gear with a v a riable r a tio is used. T h e Ser v otr o nic fu ncti on is eq uipped a s standard. T h e Servotr o nic II f a miliar
fr om the cur r e nt Audi A8 ´0 3 is used (see SSP 285). Acti vatio n of the Servo t r o nic so lenoid valve is p e r f or med
by the onboard s u pply contr o l unit J520.
T h e de sign and f u nction of the ste e ring wh ee ls have
been a dopted fr om the Audi A6 ´ 05. T h e r a ng e
comprise s thr ee - spoke and f o ur -spoke s t eering
wheels. T h ese a r e option ally ava i lable with leather
trim, mul t ifunctio n buttons, T i ptr o nic a nd hea t ed
steering wheel rim.
