ON/O FF butt on, which must b e pr esse d f o r lon g er than 1 second with the ignit i on in the OFF position.

Climatro ni c contr o l unit J255.
With the r e sidual heat f u nction, the vehicle interio r c a n be heated with wa rm air wh en the eng i n e is switch ed
of f.
F o r this p u rpo s e, the co olant is circulated via the pump s V50 (co o lant cir c u l at ion pump) and/o r the water
pump V36, depen d in g on the engine version.

Elect r ic coolant p u mp s
D e pending on the eng i ne ve rsion, c oola n t circ ul ation is ac h i eved using various pumps. When the engine is
running, the en gine cool ant pump is a s si ste d by these elec tric ally-driven pumps.
I n v e h i c l e s e q u i pp e d w i t h a n 8 - c y l i nd e r e ng i n e o r a 6 - cylinder diesel e n gine, the cool ant circu l a t ion pump V50
is in stalled. In vehicles with a 6 - cylinder petr ol engine, the water pump V3 6 is used.
