Erasing
contract
information
from
the
vehicle
If
the key
user
remains
logged
into
the
vehicle
af-
ter
the
vehicle
charging
plan
ends,
the
contract
data
will
be
automatically
deleted
from
the
vehi-
cle.
If
there
still
is
an
active
charging
plan,
then
unau-
thorized
persons
could
use
this
function
at
your
cost,
for
example
if
you
sell
your
vehicle.
To
pre-
vent
this,
you
must
delete
the
contract
data
from
the
vehicle.
Reset
the
vehicle
to
the
factory default
set-
tings.
Messages
Plug
&
charge
authentication
not
possible
This
message
appears
if
authentication
and
pay-
ment
via
Plug
&
charge
is
not
possible.
To
start
a
charging
session
anyway,
select
another
payment
method
at
the
charging
station.
If
the
charging
process
will
still
not
begin,
switch
off
Plug
&
charge
and
start
the
charging
process
again.
Advanced
charging
settings
Possible
settings
With
the
advanced
charging
settings,
you
can
de-
fine
addresses
(locations)
at
which
certain
charg-
ing
settings
should
apply.
These
will
be
applied
automatically
as
long
as
your
vehicle
is
near
a
specified
address.
The
charging
target
that
is
set

will be
used
both
for
immediate
charging
mode
and
timer
charging
mode.
Depending
on
the
vehicle
equipment,
you
can
al-
so
adjust
the
following
settings:

Charging
target
(battery
charge
level
at
depar-
ture
time,
also
see
page
122).
»
Minimum
charge
(for
example,
to
ensure
a
cer-
tain
range
when
departing
earlier).
»
Preferred
charging
time
(for
example,
to
use
a
less
expensive
electricity
rate).

Pay
attention
to
the
following
information
for
safe
handling
of
the
charging
equipment:

Secure
the
charging
equipment
against
any
strain,
such
as
being
run over,
falling,
pulling,
bending,
and
crushing.
Do
not
submerge
the
charging
equipment
in
water
and
do
not
cover
it
with
snow
or
ice.
