Unique brake components for the Audi R8 include 8-
piston, 4-pad front calipers; 4-piston, 2-pad rear calipers;
and separate mechanically activated parking brake
calipers.
Front and rear rotors are of a two-piece design and are
cross-drilled for ventilation. The Audi R8 has an ESP
wet braking feature: slight, intermittent disc movement
wipes off water from rotors.
