Wheels
Regular care is required to preserve the decorative appearance of
t he wheels . Road salt and brake dust must be washed off regularly
or the wheels wil l be damaged .
Use on ly special acid -free cleaning agents . You can find proper
whee l cleaner at authorized Audi dealers and specialty stores. Do
not leave the cleaner on the whee ls longe r than specified . Wheel
cleaners contain ing acid can da mage the surface of the wheel bo lts.
Paint po lish or other abrasive materia ls must not be used when
caring for w heels. If the protec tive coat ing has been damaged, fr om
stones for example, touch up t he damage as soon as possib le.

wash .

Care of interior
Plastic parts and imitation leather
You can clean plastic parts and imi tation leather with a damp cloth.
If t his does not remove the dirt, you can treat these parts only with
special
solvent-free plasti c cleaning and care products .

Solvents can change the properties of some plasti cs and make it
harder for the airbag to deploy.

• Never clean the instrument panel or the surface of Airbag
module s w ith cleaning product s that contain solvents.
• Products containing solvents will make the surface of this part
porous.
• Serious injuries can result if plastic parts come loose when the
airbag is deployed .

Carbon-fiber parts
The carbon -fib er par ts of your vehicle have a painted surface . They
do not requi re any special care and are clea ned like plas tic parts
=> page 182. •
Fabrics and fabric coverings
Fabrics and fabric coverings (e.g. seats, door trim pane ls, etc.)
shou ld be clea ned at reg ular interva ls w it h a vacuum cleane r. This
removes surface dirt partic les which cou ld become embedded in
th e fab ric through use. Steam clea ners shou ld not be used, beca use
the steam tends to push t he dirt deeper into the fabric and lock it
there.
Normal c le aning
Generally, we recom mend using a soft sponge or a lint -free
m icrofiber cloth to t he clean fabric . Brushes should only be used for
