Parking system
- With the vehicle stopped, turn the steering wheel to the
right as far as it will go.
- Back into the parking spot until the blue curve touches the
curb ::::>

- With t he vehicle stopped, turn the steering wheel to the
left as far as it will go.
- Continue to back into the parking spot until the vehicle is
parked parallel to the curb. ® marks the rear bumper .

Parking ne x t to obstacles
When there is an obstacle (such as a wall) next to the parking spot,
choose a spot with more space on the s ides . Position the long side of
the blue area so t hat there is sufficient space from the curb . The area
must not be on the curb. You will a lso need to sta rt tu rning the
steering wheel much earlier . There should be a sufficient amount of
space bet ween the curb and t he blue cur ve, and t he b lue curve
=> page 93, f ig. 79 must not touch the curb.

• The rearview came ra does not show the entire area behind the
vehicle =>
pa ge 8 9, fig . 73 . Watch out especially for small chil-
dren and animal s. The rear view camera cannot always dete ct
them, pos ing risk of an accident!
• Please note that object s not touching the g round can appear to
be farther away than the y really are (for example , t he bump e r of a
vehicle o r the rear of a t ruck) . In thi s case , you should not use the
orient ation lines to help with parking, which poses danger of an
accident!

In the navigat io n system display, t he d irect ion of t ravel of the veh icle
rear is represented depending on the steering whee l ang le. The
veh icle front swings out mo re t han t he vehicle rea r. Maintain plenty
of distance so that your outside mirror or a corner of your veh icle does
no t collide with any obstacles . This can damage to your vehicle.

The left or rig ht or ientation lines and surfaces will be d isplayed,
depending on the turn signa l being used. •

Requirement: The parking system must be switched on .
- Press the Settings contro l button.
• Front volume - front sensor volume
• Front frequenc y - front sensor frequency
• Rear volume - rear sensor volume
• Rear frequency - rear sensor frequency
