The power window switches have a two-posi-
tion function :
Opening the windows
~
Press the switch and hold it down until the
window has reached the desired position .
~
Press the switch briefly to open the w indow
automat ically.
~
By briefly pressing/pu ll ing t he swit ch again,
the downw ard trave l of the w indow can be
stopped in any position ¢ .&_.
Closing the windows
~
Pull the switch and hold it until the window
has reached the desired posit ion.
~
Pull t he switc h briefly t o close the w indow
automati cally.
~
By briefly pressing/pulling the swit ch again,
the upward travel of the wi ndow can be
stopped in any position ~ .&_.

A WARNING
- Do not leave chil dren unattended in the
vehicle, especially with access to vehicle
keys. Unsupervis ed use of the keys can
result in starting of th e engine and use
of vehicle systems such as power w in-
dows, etc. w hich could result in serious
inju ry.
- Remember - you can still open or close
t he power window s for about t en mi-
nutes after the ign ition is switc hed off.
Only when eit her of the fro nt doors are
opened are the power windows switched
off.
- Be careful whe n closing the w indows.
Check to see that no one is in the way, or
serio us injury could result!
- Always remove the ign ition key whenever
you leave your vehicle.
- If you lock your vehicle from t he outside,
no one, especially childre n, should re-
main in the vehicle.
- Do not st ick anything on t he windows or
the windshield that may inter f ere with
the dr iver's field of vision.
(D Tips
- W hen the doors are opened, t he win -
dows are automatically lowere d 0 .4 in
(10 mm).
Reactivating the system after battery
disconnection
If the vehicle battery is disconnected and
then reconnected, the automatic closing and
opening function will not work until it is reac-
tivated .

Pull and hold the power window switch un-
til the w indow is comp lete ly closed.
~
Release the switch and pull it again for one
second.
