Remove bolts -A-.
Detach gear oil cooler -B- together with two O-rings -C- from
gearbox.
Caution
Do not allow coolant to drip into gearbox.
Installing
Tightening torque ⇒ page 76 .
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:
Note
Renew bolts for gear oil cooler.
Renew O-rings.
Check coolant level ⇒ Rep. Gr. 19 .
Check gear oil level and top up as required ⇒ page 66 .
10.2 Removing and installing gear oil filter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
Used oil collection and extraction unit -V.A.G 1782-
Removing
Proceed as follows:
Unplug electrical connector -3- from air mass meter -G70- .
Release clamps -1 and 2- and disconnect air intake hose from
air mass meter -G70- .
Unbolt front intake duct from lock carrier -4-.
Remove engine cover panel.
