service is due.

The service interval disp lay de t ermines when a service procedure is
needed for your vehicle.
It operates in two stages:
• Service reminder: Befo re reachi ng a se rvice event, this message
appea rs briefly w hen you switch on the ignition:

Display remaining distance
By briefly pull ing t he knob, @ ~ page 8, fig. 2, t he distance/ t ime
remaining to the next service date is displayed with the ignition on .
The distance/t ime rema ining is up d ate d eve ry 30 0 miles (500 km).
If the d ist ance/t ime rema ining is called up on new veh icles o r af t er
service has been perfo rmed, the due date is always shown in the
display wit h
Oil change in----- mi (km)-- - days w ith in t he first 300
mi les (500 km).
To reset the display
The dea lership perform ing t he serv ice resets the disp lay when the
service has been completed . The display is resets as follows :
• Switch the ign ition on .
• Pull t he knob @ ~
page 8, fig . 2, this message appears: Oil
change!
• Pull the knob unti l the disp lay Oil change in----- mi (km) --- days
appea rs in the display. If the reset button is not pulled within 5
seconds, the display rese t mode clos es .
[ i ] Tips
• If a ma lfunct io n is present (red symbol), the distance re main ing
cannot be called up.
• Do not reset t he d isp lay between service inte rvals. Doing so will
resu lt in an incor rect d isp lay.
• If the battery is disconnected, t he Service Interval Display values
are reta ined.
• On vehicles with the Driver Information System, you can a lso ca ll
