Under difficult operating condition s, for example at extreme ly low

<£> For the sake of the environment

sion standards are maint ained, thus minimi zing adverse effe cts on
the environment.
Important considerations for you and your
vehicle
The inc reasing use of elect ronics, sophisticated fue l injection and
emission con trol systems, and the gene rally increas ing tec hnical
complexity of today's automobiles, have steadily reduced the scope
of maintenance and repairs wh ich can be carr ied out by veh icle
owners.
Also, safety and environmental concerns place very strict
lim its on the nature of repairs and adj ustmen t s to engine and tra ns-
mission parts which an owner can perform.
Maintena nce, adj ustments and repairs usually require special tools,
test ing devices and oth er equipment available to specially t rained
workshop personne l in order to assure prope r performance, reli-
ability and safety of the vehicle and its many syst ems.
Improper maintenance, adjustments and repairs can impair the
ope rati on and reliabil ity of your vehi cle and even void your vehicle
warranty. Therefore, proof of servicing in accordance with the main -
tenance schedule may be a con diti on for upholding a possibl e
warranty claim made within the warranty period.
