Pay attention to any additional system prompts
displayed on your cell phone, for example if the
syst em should connect automatica lly in the fu-
ture. Depending on the cell phone, you may have
to conf irm download ing the directory separate ly.
After connecting successfully
After connecting successfully, a sho rt message
with i nformat i on about the connected profil es
will appear. Yo u can also chan ge the profile l ater
by select ing I MEN U I> Setting s> left contro l but-
ton > MMI settings > Connection manager
¢ page 168.
In addition, the cell phone contacts are au tomat-
ically l oaded in the MMI directory. Thi s process
can take several minutes, depend ing on the num-
ber of contacts.
@ Tips
- Making phone calls throug h the MMI is on ly
possible using a
Bl u etooth profile (Hands-
free).
- You can apply additional settings to con-
nected cell phones using the connection
manager ¢ page 167.
- You only have to pair your devi ce one t i me.
Bluetooth dev i ces that are already paired
automat ically connect to the MMI when
they are within range and t he ignition is
switched on.
- Authorizing
the MMI connection in your cell
phone will make automat ic connection pos-
sible.
- Sever
al cell phones can be paired to the
MM!, but only one cell phone can be act ively
connected .

- A Bl uetooth dev ice that is already paired
with the MMI will be disconnected if anoth-
er dev i ce is paired.

When leaving the vehicle, the Bluetooth
connect i on to the cell ph one will automati-
cally disconnect.

Using the Audi phone box
Applies to: vehicles with Audi phone box
Using the Audi phone box, you can call using the
external vehicle antenna and charge your cell
phone using a
USB adapter . Using the external
antenna helps when there is low signal strength
and also provides better reception quality.

- Connecting to the external vehicle antenna:
