Easy seat entry
Easy seat entry makes it easier to get into the
back seats.

... To fold the front seat backrests forward, pull
on the loop and fold the seat backrest .
.&. WARNING
Always make sure the front seats are u pright
and secure ly locked in place when driving.
Front center armrest
Applies to: vehicles wi th cen ter armrest
The center armrest con be adjusted to several
levels.

... To adjust the angle, raise the armrest Q fig. 44
notch by notch .
... To bring the armrest back down, raise it out of
the top notch and fold it back down. Then lift
the armrest to the desired pos i tion, if necessa-
ry .
Please
note that the driver's ability to move his or
arm may be restricted when the armrest is folded

down. Because of this, the armrest sho u ld not be
fol
ded down during city driving.
The
armrest can slide forward and back.
There is a
storage compartment under the arm-
rest .
Rear bench seat
Rear seat passengers must meet certain criteria.

- The rear bench seat may only carry persons
wi th a height of up to 4 feet 9 inches (57 in/
1.4 5 m).
- At the same time, the mi nimum di stance
betwe en the head and the rear window
when si tting up r ight sho uld not be l ess than
1 inch (2.5 cm). Taller people could su ffer
severe injuri es when closing the lu ggage
compa r tment lid or during a collision. Al -
ways pay attention to the rear passengers
when closing the luggage compartment li d.
- No heavy, hard
objects may be placed on the
luggage compartment cover. They endanger
the vehicle passengers when opening the
luggage compartment lid or when braking
suddenly.
