Usage Features:
The inflator is designed for ease of use with a clear LCD display and intuitive controls.
- Power On/Off: Long press the power button to turn on the inflator; the LCD display will illuminate. The display automatically turns off after 150 seconds of inactivity to conserve battery.
- Mode Selection: A dedicated mode button allows cycling through four preset inflation modes: ball, bicycle, motorcycle, and car. Each mode may have default pressure settings or specific recommendations.
- Pressure Adjustment: The '+' and '–' buttons enable manual adjustment of the desired inflation pressure in increments of 0.5 PSI. A long press on these buttons allows for quick cycling of the PSI value.
- Inflation Initiation: Once the desired PSI is set, a short press of the power button starts the inflation process. The pump will automatically shut off when the target pressure is reached or if it fails to reach the setting within 15 minutes.
- Air Hose Connection: The air hose screws clockwise into the air outlet of the inflator. For Schrader valves (common on cars, motorcycles, and mountain bikes), the air chuck attaches directly to the valve stem.
- Adapter Use: For other items, adapters (tapered nozzle, short tapered nozzle, sports ball needle, Presta valve adapter) are used. To attach an adapter, lift the air chuck clamp, insert the adapter, and press the clamp down to secure it.
- Presta Valve Inflation: For Presta valves (road and some mountain bikes), first loosen the valve locking nut, then thread the female end of the Presta valve adapter onto the valve stem. Finally, clamp the air chuck onto the adapter.
- Power Bank Functionality: The USB-A port allows charging of external devices. Charging begins automatically upon connection.
- LED Light: The LED button (labeled SOS) controls the integrated flashlight. It offers three modes: solid white, slow red blinking, and fast red blinking, before turning off.
Charging:
- USB-C Charging: The device is charged using the included USB-A to USB-C cable. Plug the USB-C connector into the inflator's USB-C port and the USB-A end into a USB port on a vehicle or a USB adapter (not included) for electrical outlet charging. For faster charging, a 10W or higher USB adapter is recommended.
- Battery Level Indicator: The LCD display shows the battery charge level with three bars (low, medium, high). While charging, the bars cycle from left to right. Once fully charged, the three bars remain static.
- Charging Precautions: Do not leave the device unattended while charging. Unplug the charging cables once charging is complete. Avoid charging outside the temperature range of 41°F – 105°F (5°C – 40.5°C) and do not charge in freezing weather. The device should not be used while charging.
Maintenance Features:
- Storage: Store the inflator in the included storage bag when not in use to protect it. Keep it away from hot surfaces or direct sunlight to prevent short circuits.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, store and charge the inflator in a cool area. Avoid storing the inflator in a discharged condition; recharge it immediately after use. For long-term storage (without use), recharge the battery every 6 months.
- Cleaning: Keep the device dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.
- Service: For service or maintenance, contact the Snow Joe® + Sun Joe® customer service department. Use only identical replacement parts for repairs.
- Material Compatibility: Do not allow brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products, solvents, or similar chemicals to come into contact with plastic parts, as these can cause damage and personal injury.
- Disposal: Do not dispose of electrical devices as unsorted municipal waste. Use separate collection facilities and follow local regulations for recycling. The packaging materials are recyclable.
