Chapter 9: The Address Book
The Address Book is a personal directory of contacts from which you can make a phone call or send
an Instant Message (IM).You can access the Address Book while on a call and start a new call from
the highlighted contact. You can use the Address Book for the following:
Viewing the Address Book on page 105
Initiating a call from the Address Book on page 106
Adding a contact to your Address Book on page 107
Editing a contact in your Address Book on page 109
Copying information to the Address Book on page 111
Searching for a contact in the Address Book on page 113
Viewing the Address Book
To access the Address Book, press the Directory fixed key or press the View soft key, and then
select Address Book from the menu. The following figure is an example of the main Address Book
screen.

To view information about a contact, use the navigation button to highlight a name, and then press
the View soft key. The name, SIP address, and designation of contact as Friend appears or not, as
shown in the following figure.
When you view the details of a contact, you can:
Call the contact. See Initiating a call from the Address Book on page 106.
Send an IM. See Composing an Instant Message on page 136.
