Call Waiting
When you are on an active call and you receive an incoming call, you are notified of the
incoming call
by a message on the telephone display screen and a notifying beep. Answering
the new call places the active call on hold. You can also redirect the new call, decline the new
call, transfer the new call, or ignore the new call.
For more information, see
Receiving a call on page 81.
Placing a call on Hold
Use the
Hold feature when you are talking to one contact and want to perform another action,
such as answer a new incoming call, transfer a call, or initiate a new call. You can have a
number of calls on hold at the same time.
Placing a call on hold
To place a call on hold:
Press the Hold fixed key.
The LCD on hold icon flashes beside the line on
hold.
