Adjust the Headset Volume
While the headset is plugged in, press the up/down volume buttons on the side of the
handset during the call.
Change the Noise Mode
When the background noise increases or decreases, you can adjust the sensitivity of the
microphone and speaker. The name of the mode describes the noise level in the
environment. Select Normal for most office environments; High for moderate background
noise; or Severe for extremely noisy conditions. If you use High or Severe modes in a
quiet environment, the person on the other end of the line may find it difficult to hear your
voice.
From standby mode:

1. Press the Nav ▲ or ▼ key to display the second set of softkeys.
2. Press the Nois softkey. Note the icon on the status bar. As you repeatedly
press the Nois softkey, the icon cycles through the different modes.
= Normal
= High
= Severe

Note:
If you use High or Severe modes in a quiet environment, the person on the other end of
the line may find it difficult to hear your voice.
Mute/Unmute a Call
Press the Mute softkey. When the handset is muted, the audio flowing icon changes
to the audio receive-only icon and Muted displays on the status bar. Press the Mute
softkey again to restore audio pickup.
End a Call
Press the End softkey or END key on the keypad to end an active call and return to the
standby mode.
