Support for IP Cameras
An Internet Protocol camera, or IP camera, is a type of digital video camera that receives control
data and sends image data or live video via an IP network. IP cameras are commonly used
for video-surveillance; most IP cameras can also be used as webcams (cameras that you can
select to send a live video from your computer), but the term IP camera (or IP Webcam or
Netcam) usually applies only to those devices that can be directly accessed over a network
connection, while plain webcams can also be connected to a computer over USB.
In this release the CU360 App supports an additional IP Camera connected via network using
an RTSP url, with up to 1080p video resolution, for live video..
Smartphones and tablet can be easily turned into IP cameras, so you can also install an IP
Webcam application for your phone (from Google Play Store or Apple Store) and use it as live
video input connected to your CU360.
To enable an IP camera as additional camera on your CU360, browse to
[GUI] CONFIGURE > ADVANCED > I/O CONNECTIONS> CAMERAS> IP
