1.6.1 IP500 External Expansion Modules
The following IP500 external expansion modules are supported by IP Office Release 8.0. Each module uses an external
power supply unit supplied with the module. A locale specific power cord for the PSU must be ordered separately.
If being rack mounted, these units use the IPO IP500 RACK MNTG KIT. They can be wall mounted using the new wall
mounting kit V2.
· Systems running in IP Office Basic Edition - PARTNER® Mode, IP Office Basic Edition - Norstar Mode or IP Office
Basic Edition - Quick Mode support up to 8 external expansion modules so long as the system extensions limit is
not exceeded.
· Systems running in IP Office Essential Edition support 8 external expansion modules or 12 if the control unit is
fitted with an IP500 4-Port Expansion Base Card.
· IP500 Digital Station Module
Provides, depending on variant, an additional 16 or 30 DS ports for
supported Avaya DS digital phones .
· IP500 Digital Station A Module
Provides, depending on variant, an additional 16 or 30 TCM ports for supported
Avaya TCM digital phones . Supported by IP500 V2 only.
· IP500 Phone Module
Provides, depending on variant, an additional 16 or 30 PHONE ports for
analog phones.
· IP500 BRI So8 Module
Provides 8 ETSI BRI-So ports for the connection of ISDN devices. This unit
is not intended to support BRI trunks.
