The following list describes general procedures:
● Turn off the power to the processor gracefully - pre-conversion administration
● Replace the processor control carrier/cabinet with an expansion control carrier or cabinet
● Replace the tone clock circuit pack and Maintenance circuit pack with an IP Server
Interface (IPSI) circuit pack and new maintenance circuit pack, respectively
● Replace old expansion interface circuit packs with new expansion circuit packs, if
necessary
● Connect the IPSI circuit pack to the Ethernet switch on the customer network
● Assign an IP address to the IPSI circuit pack
Perform the following tasks to convert a processor port network to a port network (SCC).
Premigration administration:
● Connecting to the processor on page 487
