An alternative method using EASG site certificates can be used if there is no connection to the
Avaya network onsite.
Site certificates are used by the onsite technicians not having access to the Avaya network to
generate a response to the Enhanced Access Security Gateway (EASG) challenge. The technician
will generate and provide the site certificate to the customer prior to going onsite. The customer
must load this site certificate (.p7b files, pkcs#7 format) on each XT Series Endpoint that the
technician needs to access.
A customer can load a site certificate by browsing to
[WEB] ADMINISTRATOR SETTINGS>UTILITIES>CERTIFICATES>EASG CERTIFICATES
SAF Password: Mandatory Site Authentication Factor (SAF) password (min 10 max 20
characters). The SAF will need to be provided to the technician and is also used by EASG Site
Manager Application to generate a response to the EASG challenge.
Upload Site Certificate: chose a .p7b file received by the technician and press Upload.
This certificate will be used by XT to verify the challenge response. Once the site certificate expires,
it will be automatically removed by the XT.
