Disabling the PIN request for Screen Link and Mobile Link
About this task
When a computer connects to an XT Series, the XT Series requests a PIN. You can disable this
request.
Procedure
1. Access the Screen Link and Mobile settings. From the XT Series web interface, select
Administrator Settings > Utilities > Remote Access > Screen Link/Mobile Link. From
the endpoint's main menu, select Configure > Advanced > Utilities > Remote Access >
Screen Link/Mobile Link.
2. Set the Mode field as required. For more information, see
Remote Access - Screen Link/
Mobile Link field descriptions on page 228.
3. From the web interface only, select Save.
Configuring unpairing behavior for Screen Link
About this task
A Screen Link client its paired until the client ends or the connection is dropped. The XT Series
endpoint can also drop the connection and unpair from the client. This typically happens when:
Another client connects to the XT Series endpoint when the first client is not presenting.
You plug in a physical cable for presentation (DVI or HD1).
You disable the Screen Link feature from the configuration.
You reboot the XT Series endpoint.
You can also configure how the XT Series endpoint can unpair a connected Screen Link client.
Procedure
1. Access the Screen Link and Mobile settings. From the XT Series web interface, select
Administrator Settings > Utilities > Remote Access > Screen Link/Mobile Link. From
the endpoint's main menu, select Configure > Advanced > Utilities > Remote Access >
Screen Link/Mobile Link.
2. Set the Screen Link Unpair Mode field as required. For more information, see
Remote
Access - Screen Link/Mobile Link field descriptions on page 228.
3. From the web interface only, select Save.
Manually unpairing for Screen Link
When not in a call, on the home page, select More and click Unpair Screen Link.
