Chapter 10: Web Manager Administration Menu Options 103
Expert - Administration - Reboot
An administrator can select Expert - Administration - Reboot to restart the console server. The
Reboot screen contains only a Reboot button.
To reboot the console server [Expert]:
1. Select Expert - Administration - Reboot. The Reboot screen appears.
2. Click the Reboot button. A confirmation dialog box appears.
3. Click OK.
Expert - Administration - Online Help
An administrator can select Expert - Administration - Online Help to configure an alternative
location for online help.
The Help button on the Web Manager looks for help files in the location specified in the Online
Help Path field. By default, http://global.avocent.com/us/olh/acs5000/v_1.0.0 is the specified
location. Access to the online help from the Avocent location that is specified by default may not
be possible due to factors such as firewall configuration. The site administrator should install the
help files onto a publicly accessible web server and reconfigure the path on this screen. Once the
changes are saved, the console server stores the new link in Flash.
The online help files are shipped with the product and can also be downloaded from Avocent. For
help with the download of the online help, contact Technical Support. See Appendix C for more
information.
To configure a local online help path [Expert]:
The web server where the help is installed must be publicly accessible.
1. Extract the help files using the appropriate utility for the operating system and put them into
the desired directory under a web server root directory.
For example, the following command line would work on a server running UNIX.
# cd $WEB_SERVER_ROOT/acs5000-help
# gunzip acs5000_online_hlp.zip
By default, the online help files are expanded into a directory under the directory where the zip
file is located.
2. Log into the Web Manager as admin and select Expert - Administration - Online Help. The
Help configuration screen appears.
3. In the Online Help Path field, enter the URL of the help files on the server. The following
example would work for a web server named remoteadmin.
http://www.remoteadmin.com/online-help/
