CHAPTER

Access with the Web Manager,
Telnet or SSH
This chapter describes how administrators and users can access the Web Manager. This chapter
also describes how to use Telnet or SSH for direct connections if the Telnet and SSH services are
enabled in the selected Security Profile.
For information on how to use the Command Line Interface (CLI), see the Cyclades ACS 6000
Advanced Console Server Command Reference Guide.
Log Into the Web Manager
The following procedure describes how to log into the Web Manager. See Ways to Access the Web
Manager on page 19 for more information.
To log into the Web Manager:
1. Enter the IP address of the console server in the address field of a browser.
NOTE: The ACS 6000 console server comes from the factory with DHCP enabled. The administrator usually
configures a static IP address during installation. If DHCP is enabled, but a DHCP server is not available on the
network or if it fails to discover the IP address of the console server, use the default static IP/subnet mask
addresses of 192.168.160.10/255.255/.255.0 for eth0 and 192.168.161.10/255.255.255.0 for eth1.
2. Enter your username and password.
NOTE: Username and password are case sensitive.
Common Features of the Web Manager for Administrators
NOTE: The first time an administrator logs in, the Web Manager displays a wizard for first time configuration. See
First Time Configuration on page 19.
