Power Management
This chapter describes how administrators can use the Web Manager to configure ports for power
management and can authorize users to manage outlets for target devices. It also describes how
authorized users can manage power.
The following table gives an overview of the power management tasks and summarizes where the
tasks are performed. For more power management information, see Power Management Options
on page 60.

• Reboot the PDU.
• Reset the PDU to the factory configuration.
• Rename the PDU (change the PDU ID).
• Select Power Management - PDU Devices.
• Select the PDU.
•Click Reboot or Factory Defaults, if desired.
A dialog appears.
• To change the PDU ID, click Rename and
enter the new name.
Configure PDU settings: power cycle interval, system
logs, buzzer alarm, software overcurrent protection,
the LED display mode and the alarm threshold.

• Select the PDU.
• Select Settings.
Perform power management for devices connected to
PDU outlets.
• Select Power Management - PDU Devices.
• Select the PDU.
• Select Outlet Table.
• Select one or more outlets.
•Click On, Off, Cycle, Lock or Unlock.
Perform power management for a group of outlets in
an outlet group.
• Select Power Management - Outlet Groups.
• Select one or more outlet groups.
•Click On, Off, Cycle, Lock or Unlock.
Configure an oulet name or Post On Delay. • Select Power Management - PDU Devices.
• Select the PDU.
• Select Outlet Table.
• Click a number from the Outlet Number
column.
• Enter the name or the post on delay.
